When it comes to look at Oceanstorm, there are many words to use to describe him. The most obvious word is golden-pelted. Oceanstorm’s pelt is orange in colour and when the sunlight hits his pelt, it will shine very brightly like a copper plate. At night, Oceanstorm’s pelt will turn into a more dull-looking colour, preventing him from standing out too much because obviously, orange is in contrast with black. However, Oceanstorm’s pet is not very thick so it helps him less during the bitter cold season of leafbare. Besides, he is also a handsome young cat with a pair of large and emerald-coloured eyes. His green eyes are always seemed to glitter under the sunlight. These round alert eyes aid him in observing every movement of a prey no matter how dark his surroundings are. Oceanstorm’s nose is brown in colour and it is very sensitive to strange smells. His nose also helps him to scent prey quite a distance away, signaling for him to drop into a hunter’s crouch. Oceanstorm’s ears are slightly pink in the inner parts and they stand out obviously, allowing the golden-pelted warrior to have a good hearing. This warrior’s white muzzle is surrounded by long whiskers and when he comes face to face with an opponent, Oceanstorm will daringly show his set of sharp teeth. His claws, when unsheathed, are sharp and long. The claws curve slightly as well to let Oceanstorm get a good grip on anything he can find to grip when he is in trouble. His light orange paws are very soft and make no sound as he walks and this gives him the advantage of creeping up behind a prey and attacking it. It also gives him the advantage of stalking another cat, probably a suspicious looking one, without being found out. Other than that, Oceanstorm has a pair of muscular legs that can take him to the places he desires to go. His legs also help the golden-pelted warrior in running fast without feeling tired so quickly. His long bushy tail that is covered by longer fur than his body is always twitching for adventure. These appearances show that Oceanstorm is one young and good-looking cat.

Oceanstorm is an adventurous cat as he loves to go out exploring, trying new things as well as experiencing adventures. Oceanstorm admits that he likes to fight, but not fighting his Clan mates, of course. And the answer is not rival Clan cats either. Oceanstorm wants to fight opponents that are not cats. He wants to show every non-cat creatures that cats are not wimps but winners. That is why whenever there is a badger looming around the territories or foxes that lurk around the forest, Oceanstorm will be the first one to volunteer to drive out those creatures. Sometimes, his hatred for those non-cat creatures brings him into trouble. Whenever he sees anything that is not cat or prey while border patrolling, he will attack the creature without thinking twice. In the end, he loses and suffers more injuries. Oceanstorm is very brave and loyal as he will willingly fight an opponent of twice his size just to protect his Clan and territory. Sometimes, Oceanstorm is stubborn. When he thinks that he is right in certain things, he is firm with his decision and sometimes, this gives him the advantage in making correct decisions for his life. The golden-pelted tom warrior is also very active as he is always seen running around the camp, collecting and spreading the latest news around the camp. In fact, the only time he can sit still is when he is sleeping or attending gatherings and Clan meetings. This tom is also very keen in the four Clans’ latest news, so if he is selected to go for the gathering, he will be extremely happy. However, Oceanstorm has his gentle sides too. He is a humorous cat and he is often known as the comic relief among the warriors in RiverClan. Sometimes, his jokes and advices will break up the tensions between two quarreling cats. The other cats in RiverClan like him a lot because he is a caring and helpful cat. Oceanstorm will gladly help a cat in trouble because he hates troubled faces. This ginger-coated tom is very protective of his friends. If they leave the camp and come back after a very long time, he will give them a long lecture about being safe in the forest and check whether are they harmed by other creatures or not. Overall, Oceanstorm is a great cat and is a little different from his younger sister, Seastream.

Kithood
Oceanstorm was born as the eldest in a litter of five during one leafbare night. He had two brothers named Wavekit and Dampkit as well as two sisters whose names were Waterkit and Seakit. By that time, this tom was known as Oceankit. Because it was too cold, Dampkit died of freezing. Oceankit’s parents, two loyal RiverClan cats namely Stardream and Earthpelt were heartbroken and thus, they took better care of the four remaining kits. Once all the kittens could open their eyes, most of the RiverClan cats told Stardream, Oceankit’s mother that the ginger-coated kit was the most active kitten in the litter. That ginger-coated kit was Oceankit. He enjoyed his kithood very much, padding around the RiverClan camp and sometimes, listening to the leader’s reports. He also enjoyed the incredible stories told by the elders. But what Oceankit loved most during his kithood is playing tag with his siblings outside the nursery. Naturally, Oceankit always won because he is the quickest and most active kitten among his siblings. Sometimes, Oceankit purposely loses so that he could give his other siblings a chance to win. It is not fun always being the winner, Oceankit had said before. At the age of 5 moons, Oceankit started to dream of being an apprentice and therefore, he looked forward for his apprentice ceremony.

Apprenticeship
Finally, the day Oceankit looked forward so much arrived. He and his three other siblings were apprenticed when they reached the age of 6 moons. Each of them were assigned to four different mentors and Oceankit, known as Oceanpaw that time envied Waterpaw because her mentor was their father, Earthpelt. However, that fact didn’t stop Oceanpaw from trying his best to be a great apprentice. During his apprenticeship, Oceanpaw always tried his best and worked his hardest. Finally, all his efforts were not wasted. He impressed his kind and wise mentor deeply by learning his fighting skills and stalking abilities quickly and accurately. Oceanpaw and one of his sister, Seapaw were among the best apprentices by the time they reached 10 moons. Waterpaw and Wavepaw were not the best apprentices because both of them had a weakness that they didn’t know how to overcome it. Wavepaw had trouble balancing when he was told to walk on a tree branch whereas Waterpaw was very hard on her paws. She never learnt how to stalk properly and always alerted the prey with her heavy pawsteps. One day, an unfortunate event happened. Earthpelt took Waterpaw to the RiverClan border to teach her how to differentiate the different scents of the other three Clans. There, the pair was ambushed by another Clan’s patrol. When the border patrol came back from patrolling the borders, they brought along the two motionless bodies of Earthpelt and Waterpaw. Stardream, Wavepaw, Seapaw and Oceanpaw were saddened and they sat vigil for the two dead family members. I hope that the cats who did this to my father and younger sister will be punished by the way StarClan knows how! Oceanpaw thought determinedly, reassuring himself that the evil cats will get their punishment from StarClan. After a few days, Oceanpaw, Seapaw, Wavepaw and Stardream stopped grieving and returned to their normal routines. During his apprenticeship, what Oceanpaw loves the most is going out on borders patrolling because generally, he loves exploring the territories. When Oceanpaw is on a border patrol, he can draw himself closer to nature. Besides, this gives him a warm feeling as he always imagine StarClan cats coming down from Silverpelt and staying in the forest for a while, ensuring peace among Clans and watching over their formal Clanmates. This little golden-pelted apprentice also seems to enjoy picking ticks off the elders while listening to their amazing stories.

Warriorhood
After 2 moons, the three siblings finally earned their warrior names. Oceanpaw became Oceanstorm, Seapaw became Seastream and Wavepaw became Wavefur. One day, Seastream and Wavefur went for a border patrol. Oceanstorm was back in camp, resting. Then, the Clan leader called for a meeting so the remaining cats attended the little meeting. Oceanstorm assumed that the announcement was not very important but to his shock, the Clan leader informed all the cats that a few foxes have been seen lurking around the RiverClan territory by border patrols. The leader also told the remaining cats to find a representative to call the hunting or border patrolling cats to come back to defend the camp. The leader made this wise judgment because the risk of the foxes attacking the RiverClan camp was high. Oceanstorm volunteered to call the other cats back. Besides, he was worried about his sister, Seastream and his brother, Wavefur. He rushed to the part of the forest where the hunting patrols often go and called back a hunting patrol. Of course, the hunting patrol was shocked when they heard the news but they obeyed Oceanstorm and went straight back into the camp. Next, Oceanstorm went to find for the border patrol where his two siblings were. The golden-pelted warrior scented blood before he reached the RiverClan border. Then, he heard a loud yowl. It was a cat’s desperate cry for pain! He quickened his pawsteps and came across his brother, panting heavily. There was a fox standing opposite Seastream, placing its blood-stained paws above a motionless body. Oceanstorm almost wailed like a kit when he recognized the body of his sister. Finally, Oceanstorm and Seastream managed to drive away the fox and carried Wavefur’s body back to the camp. Fortunately, no foxes had attacked the camp. The Clan grieved for Wavefur’s lost and Oceanstorm vowed that he will never let a fox run away from a battle without getting serious injuries. That is why Oceanstorm hates other non-cat creatures. Oceanstorm and his sister, Seastream are closer than any cat has ever thought, and they have become even closer and shared a strong bond ever since the death of their beloved brother. Eventually, the two siblings’ mother, Stardream died of old age. Oceanstorm is planning to be one of RiverClan’s best and loyal warriors in the future and he hopes to be respected by all RiverClan cats. He feels lucky enough to have Seastream by his side. Soon, he was appointed to be the new deputy of RiverClan.

Please be alright! Oceanstorm sent silent prayers to StarClan as he ran through the thick forest towards the RiverClan border. The RiverClan leader had informed all the RiverClan cats that a few foxes have been seen lurking around the RiverClan territory. It was told by a few cats that went for border patrolling lately. Oceanstorm was the cat who volunteered to call the other cats back to defend the camp when the leader gave an order to choose a representative to inform the other patrolling and hunting cats.
Seastream, Wavefur, please be alright! These words echoed through Oceanstorm’s mind as he almost reached the RiverClan border. Before reaching his destination, the golden-pelted warrior smelt blood. Then, he heard a loud yowl. It was a cat’s desperate cry for pain! He quickened his pawsteps and came across his sister, panting heavily.
“What happened here, Seastream?” he asked his sister. Before his sister could reply, Oceanstorm turned to face the creature which was attacking Seastream. It was a fox and it was placing its blood-stained paws above a motionless body.
“Wavefur is dead? No!” cried Oceanstorm as he recognized the body of his beloved brother.
“FOX dung! You killed my brother!” he hissed at his opponent, claws unsheathed.
StarClan, please give me the strength I need to defeat this cruel fox! He prayed again, bracing himself if his opponent was going to strike hard.
