Arrowfeather|MoonClan(Med.cat?)|she-cat|Done « Thread Started on Aug 26, 2007, 1:43pm »
Name: Arrowfeather Gender: She-cat Age: 38 moons at death, 300 moons in MoonClan Clan: MoonClan Rank: Medicine Cat Mate: None, she's not allowed Kits: None, she's not allowed Breed: Randombred Cat Appearance:
Arrowfeather is quite the different sort of cat. She has thick white fur that is rather short. Her coat has two layers of short fur to it; and it does not look long at all. The double coat makes her fur very thick, and keeps her warm during leafbare. On parts of her body, a ginger color is present in her pelt. When she is in a strong beam of sunlight, the white of her fur appears almost translucent. Arrowfeather's fur doesn't usually get tangled, but it is almost always out of place. Her frame appears larger because of the double pelt, but she is actually quite normal-sized. The fur that covers her body is kit-soft and silky to the touch, but it does not shine like most cats with silky fur. Her tail is coated in three layers of very long fur, at least an inch long. When Arrowfeather walks, her double coat ripples over her powerful muscles, yet she holds herself with all of the grace and balance that one would expect from a medicine cat. Arrowfeather's tail is very long, a lot like the rest of her body, the length of which adds to her impeccable balance. Her muscles are large and broad, giving her a powerful look. Her paws are also very wide, which gives her very impeccable balance. Her claws, even when she retracts them, are so long that you can see their tips, and are very powerful because they have to hold up to any weather. Despite this, she never uses her claws for anything more than climbing trees for fun. Arrowfeather's legs are also long, although they don’t add any sort of clumsiness. In fact, her long legs actually seem to add to her amazing balance. Additionally, Arrowfeather is very fast, which was helpful as a mortal when she needed to get to a hurt cat quickly, or needed to get herbs for an ill cat. Her neck is just a little on the long side, and her two-toned head gives her a perfect-looking build. Her head is covered in a single coat, unlike the rest of her body. On her ears, there are two tufts of long ginger fur, like those of a lynx. Arrowfeather's eyes shine in a dark amber color, with a hint of blue showing around her pupils. Her nose is a pale pinkish color, looking almost like the white fur that surrounds it. Beneath her nose are long white teeth that can be rather thick. When her mouth is closed, the tips of her teeth point out, giving her a wild appearance. But, like her claws, she never uses her teeth to inflict pain. When you add all of these features together you get a tall, long-looking cat that looks like a cat that can cause some serious damage.
Personality:
Arrowfeather has this powerful aura about her that commands respect from all ranks below her, and even some above. She naturally has gentleness and sweetness when it comes to patients, and often this will calm even the most enraged and upset cat. When she wants to, Arrowfeather can command total attention from all, even the leaders. Even so, Arrowfeather always listens to those of a higher rank, and will do anything that her mentor wants her to do. Her primary devotion is to her Clan, and when living Arrowfeather would sacrifice her life for RainClan without a second thought. Moving on, the young apprentice loves to learn, and is a brilliant cat. She has a very promising future, and was often told by Raincloud that the medicine cat was lucky to have a cat like Arrowfeather for her apprentice. Although this may seem a bit unbelievable, Arrowfeather actually doesn't talk very much. She prefers to listen, to soak up knowledge like a sponge. The elders will often tell her stories, due to the fact that she is such a good audience. Arrowfeather takes every single one of the elders' stories to heart, and never forgets them. Kits and apprentices look to her for guidance, and think of her as a sort of role model. She likes to joke and play with those closest to her, and is popular among all of the Clans. When healing, Arrowfeather takes on a whole different personality. She becomes quiet and patient, and her intelligence is impossible to miss, even though she doesn't flaunt it like some other cats blessed with a good brain.
History:
Kithood: Arrowkit was born in the wild. Her parents were a mystery even then, and she never found out who they were. She was of a single litter, unnamed and unheard. She can remember her first moments, though very vaguely. After she was born, she could only feel cold. The little nameless kit went without her mother's warmth from the time she came in to this world. When she opened her eyes, she expected, like most kits, to see her mother looking down lovingly upon her. All she saw was the forest. There was no other cat with her, only the prickly berry bush she had taken refuge in. The berries on it were bright red in color. To survive, the little kit began to eat the berries from the bush. Suddenly, she felt a pain in her stomach, and everything went black.
She awoke to see a tiny cat. This cat was the size of a newborn kitten, but her grace and the way she held herself told the little kit that she was older than a kitten. The kitten-sized cat was pale, a silvery-grey color, with darker grey flecks and had icy blue eyes. A large, tan cat with green eyes came up behind the little grey one, and nodded approvingly. "Very good Rainpaw!" she said to the smaller cat. "The kit has been saved!" The smaller cat, Rainpaw, looked up at the larger one with a look of excitement on her tiny face. Rainpaw was smaller than the nameless kit! "Thank you Jadeleaf." said Rainpaw to the larger cat, Jadeleaf. "Uhn" the nameless kit had managed to force out of her dry, cracked lips. She was surprised by how dry and ragged her voice sounded. Rainpaw introduced herself later. "Do you have a name?" she had asked the nameless kit. "No." had been the reply. Rainpaw had simply smiled and said "MoonClan has chosen for your name to be Arrowkit. Welcome to RainClan, dearest Arrowkit" Rainpaw had then bowed smaller than her already small stature. The two became best of friends in the five moons that followed. By the time Arrowkit was ready to be apprenticed, Rainpaw had finally grown to be the size of a regular kit. Arrowkit had learned all about the warrior code, and about MoonClan from the medicine cat apprentice. She learned that Jadeleaf was the Medicine cat, and was one of the nicest cats in the world. She also learned why Rainpaw was so small, because she was merely the runt of the litter. In fact, Rainpaw had been 6 moons old when the two had met. Just before Arrowkit's apprentice ceremony, A badger attacked the camp and killed many cats, one of them being Jadeleaf. Arrowkit had wept along with her friend, and she had cheered when Rainpaw became Raincloud. It was no surprise when Arrowkit asked to be made medicine cat apprentice, and even less surprise that Raincloud agreed. Arrowkit was now Arrowpaw.
Raincloud, Arrowfeather's previous mentor, can also be called upon for her memories of Arrowkit. She had been the one to find the little unconscious kit under the deathberry bush. She had called for Jadeleaf immediately, and had run back to camp as fast as her tiny legs took her. When she made it into the medicine cat's den, the first thing Jadeleaf had asked was "Where is the juniper you were supposed to collect?" Rainpaw had merely tugged on her beloved mentor's leg, and Jadeleaf had followed her to the spot where she had seen the kit. Jadeleaf had quickly run with the kit back to camp, leaving Rainpaw to stumble back on her stumpy legs. She was like a newborn kit, with adult fur. She and Jadeleaf had worked for hours straight to try and save the kit, which had eaten half of the deathberries on the bush she had been found under. It was a miracle when the kit woke up. Rainpaw had spoken to the kit later, when Jadeleaf had fallen asleep. "Do you have a name?" she asked. The reply was a simple "No". Starry cats suddenly surrounded Rainpaw, their sweet smell feeling like paradise. "Dearest Rainpaw, how you have grown. It seems like only a moon ago you were the size of a mouse" Her father spoke, his pale silvery fur glimmering in the moonlight that shone into the den. "Arrowkit will be a wonderful apprentice to you Raincloud." Sootkit and Dapplekit, Raincloud's siblings whom had died in kithood, chorused together. All at once, the dream vanished. Rainpaw looked to the nameless kit in the nest beside her. "MoonClan has chosen for your name to be Arrowkit. Welcome to RiverClan, dearest Arrowkit" she said, lowering her tiny head in a bow. Arrowkit had fallen asleep purring. Rainpaw and Arrowkit soon became best of friends, and Rainpaw taught her everything about Clan life. More importantly, Rainpaw taught Arrowkit about MoonClan and being a Medicine Cat. She had asked Arrowkit once about the little kit's parents, but they were even a mystery to Arrowkit. As Arrowkit's apprentice ceremony loomed, Rainpaw became nervous. Would her family's prophecy come true? Then, the night before Arrowkit's apprentice ceremony, A badger attacked camp and Jadeleaf was killed. That meant that Rainpaw was now the official Medicine cat. She became Raincloud at her naming ceremony. Arrowkit's apprentice ceremony had been postponed, and Arrowkit used that time to ask Raincloud to become the Medicine Cat Apprentice. Raincloud agreed, and her family's prophecy came true.
Apprenticeship: Arrowpaw opened into the world of a medicine Cat. She loved her position. When she went to the Moonpool for the first time, She was amazed by what she saw. When they got there, Raincloud had called out. The other three Medicine Cats, (Some with apprentices of their own) were there to witness her acceptance by MoonClan. Raincloud had said to MoonClan "Arrowpaw, is it your wish to enter the mysteries of a medicine cat?" "It is." Arrowpaw had answered. "Then come forward. Warriors of MoonClan, I present to you this apprentice. She has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant her your wisdom and insight, so that she may understand your ways and heal her Clan in accordance with your will. Now, crouch down and drink from the pool." Raincloud had said the last words to Arrowpaw, and the little apprentice did just that. She bent down and took a sip from the pool. Suddenly, starry cats surrounded her. She saw many images. She saw Pondstar (the leader at the time) on the Thunderpath, her golden fur stained red with blood. As she saw this, a voice spoke to her, lilting and smooth. "A silver pond, stained red with blood a star to replace has fur." Arrowpaw had no idea what it meant. When she snapped out of the trance, Raincloud was beside her, glee in her icy eyes. Arrowpaw was about to tell the tiny Medicine Cat everything, but her mentor quieted the ginger-and-white apprentice with her tail. When the two of them got back to camp, Arrowpaw asked her mentor for assistance in discovering the meaning behind the words. She repeated the phrase to Raincloud, and told her about the image of Pondstar lying dead on the Thunderpath. "Pondstar is going to die, that much is clear." said Raincloud slowly. "But Pondstar's fur is gold, not silver. Also, the last part confuses me greatly." When they went to sleep that night, Raincloud was muttering the prophecy in her sleep. The next morning, Arrowpaw's mentor was up bright and early. "Arrowpaw, I figured it out!" she said eagerly when her apprentice had awoken. "The prophecy is talking about my sister, Silverfur" Arrowpaw and Raincloud had gone to Pondstar later on that day, and Pondstar had made the current deputy step down, making Silverfur the deputy. The rest of Arrowpaw's apprenticeship went fairly normally.
Medicine cat of RainClan: Raincloud was found dead only a moon after Arrowpaw had received her Medicine Cat name; Arrowfeather. There was so little evidence, that nobody could figure out how she had died. Silverfur, who had become Silverstar, wept of the loss of her sister, her only remaining family member. Without the closure of knowing what had happened to the mentor who had been like a sister to her, Arrowfeather felt completely alone. She went through her days in a fog, her mind never really on her duties. Life didn't really seem to matter. It wasn't until Windkit came around that Arrowfeather started to take an interest in things again. Windkit was fascinated by Arrowfeather's work, and often told her that she wanted to be a medicine cat. Arrowfeather was her hero. It was no surprise at all when Silverstar made Windkit Arrowfeather's apprentice. The ginger-and-white Medicine cat had finally found a reason to live, a reason to wake up again. When she first brought little Windpaw to the Moonpool, she spoke the ancient chant that her own mentor had spoken at her first Moonpool trip. "Windpaw, is it your wish to enter the mysteries of a medicine cat?" "It is." Windpaw had answered, her voice revealing the excitement that she held within. "Then come forward. Warriors of MoonClan, I present to you this apprentice. She has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant her your wisdom and insight, so that she may understand your ways and heal her Clan in accordance with your will. Now, crouch down and drink from the pool." Arrowfeather had been brought back as she finished the speech, and she bent to drink from the Moonpool just after Windpaw had. An image of Raincloud first appeared. "Come." Arrowfeather's mentor had said to her, and she was brought into Raincloud's memory. It was greenleaf, even though Windpaw’s first Moonpool trip had been during leafbare. Arrowfeather looked around to see Raincloud standing by the Medicine Cat's den. Behind her, was a RainClan cat. The cat made a swift claw swipe in Raincloud’s neck and the Medicine cat fell. Before he left, the cat that had killed Raincloud turned, and Arrowfeather saw the face of Darkclaw, the cat Pondstar had made step down. Arrowfeather had awoken by the Moonpool, again in the cold. "Thank you,” she had whispered, knowing Raincloud would be listening. Her mentor had finally given her closure. Upon arrival in RainClan camp, Arrowfeather had immediately told Silverstar about what Raincloud had shown her, and Darkclaw was banished from the Clan.
Death and entrance to MoonClan: Arrowfeather died only 3 moons later. She had been gathering herbs with Windpaw when a fox had attacked the two. Arrowfeather had sent Windpaw for help, but the fox had torn her apart before it had come. Arrowfeather had never felt worse pain, and she had screamed bloody murder. Before she knew it, the pain had stopped, and starry cats surrounded Arrowfeather. They had put her back together somehow, and Arrowfeather had joined the ranks of MoonClan.
Medicine cat of MoonClan: Raincloud had been residing as MoonClan's medicine cat for quite some time. The two had a tearful reunion, and Raincloud had taken Arrowfeather back as a sort of 'Apprentice'. For 100 moons Arrowfeather worked alongside her old mentor, and she was happier than she ever had been in life. Then Raincloud vanished, and MoonClan spent moons looking for the Medicine Cat. She had never been found, and Arrowfeather had once again been forced to live without her. Windpaw, who had gained the name of Windwhisper, had still been alive, although very old. Arrowfeather, as Raincloud's apprentice, had been named Medicine cat in her place, and has been serving as such ever since.
Roleplay Example:
Her pelt seemed translucent in the moonlight. The trees around her made the forest seem black, except for the tiny openings in the leaves that let the moonlight through. The white of her pelt seemed to glow, the pearl color glimmering. The ginger patches on her back and head merely looked like dark patches, their color barely discernible. A rustling noise came from the grass beneath her paws as she darted down the path. She was absorbed in the sound of her paws hitting the cold, hard ground as she felt another pelt brush against her own double coat. She turned her head to look at the cat that owned the pelt against hers and met the pale grey dappled face of her mentor. Pale blue-green eyes met dark amber ones, and a look of pure joy passed between them. “Excited?” she heard Raincloud say, the medicine cat’s soft voice like music to her ears. “Of course” was the answer, predictable by any of the cats present. She was about to say something else, but the voices of the cats ahead cut her off. Not all of the other Clans were yet present, so she padded up to a small apprentice. Because she had never seen the apprentice before, she discerned that it was the apprentice’s first gathering. A smile appeared on her maw as she remembered her first gathering. Before her, Raincloud sat, directly in front of the stump. The medicine cat’s breathing rate was hurried, and even the smell of her was eager and excited. Pondstar called out. “Here for the first time we have our Medicine cat apprentice; Arrowpaw.” All eyes were suddenly upon her, and Raincloud looked back to give the apprentice a comforting smile. She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath before laughing. Her laugh showed that she was relaxed, and wasn’t so wound up that she was afraid. She smiled as her memories faded, and her mind was brought back to the present. She laughed, the exact laugh she had given at her first ceremony. “I’m Arrowpa-“ she stopped short. You’re a full medicine cat now… she reminded herself. “I’m Arrowfeather. What’s your name?”
Pictures:
None, she looks too weird for pictures.

Hokay.. WOW. That's one huge history. <333
I'm not going to bother reading all this till you finish it, because it's easier to spellcheck the first time, but I just gotta say, THANKYOUSOBADLY for putting so much effort into this! -is in shock- ...-and is on medication, so was pretty drool-happy to begin with-
I'll check this when you're done, but there's one thing you should know about tho. We already have an Arrow here, so if you could find another name I'd be eternally grateful xD As if I'm not already... Anyways, it would be confusing if we had two 'Arrow's. You can use any other name you like, as long as it's a warrior cat name or an abbreviation of one. 8) Thankyouussss.
